Founded in 1938 and active ever since, our members come from all parts of the city and beyond. We give three concerts each year in the Cathedral: one before Christmas, usually a performance of Messiah, and the season's main concert in April or May with professional soloists and orchestra. Additional events typically include recitals in other parts of the city and beyond: in recent years we have been to Perth, Millport, St Andrews, Dunkeld, Cleish, Callander, Lamlash, Langholm and Ayr. The season runs from September to May. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings at 7.30 in Woodlands Methodist Church in Woodlands Road (click here for location).
